Mental Health - Skill Building Services Virginia:

The New Y-CAPP Mental Health Skill Building Services are designed to work with adults in their natural environment to provide training that assists with achieving and maintaining community stability and independence.

Our program is designed to assist with developing the skills essential for daily living to help individuals meet their maximum potential of self-sufficiency and independence.

Staff will work with each individual to develop an individualized, person-centered treatment plan based on their strengths, needs, abilities and preferences. Services are geared towards improving:
 
  • Daily living skills
  • Social Skills
  • Use of community resources
  • Medication management and compliance
  • Health, nutrition, and physical condition
 
  • Career planning/job search skills
  • Housing
  • Personal hygiene
  • Food preparation
  • Money management
 
Individuals are reevaluated in 6 month intervals to determine their eligibility for services.
