Intensive In-Home Counseling Program
The New Y-CAPP's Intensive In-Home program provides services to children and adolescents between the ages of 5 and 21. These children must have been identified by school officials, parents, and/or other professionals directly providing care for the child/adolescent as having mental, behavioral, and/or emotional illness(es) resulting in significant functional impairments in major life activities.
The mission of The New Y-CAPP's Intensive In-Home program is to provide systemic therapeutic interventions for identified children and adolescents. These services are rehabilitative in nature and are intended to improve the participants' overall functioning in the home, school, community and any other small group or organizational setting. The programming fosters a sense of encouragement and helps participants excel by raising their personal expectations and realizing it is unacceptable for them to accept failure.
Y-CAPP's Intensive In-Home program will provide time-limited therapeutic interventions primarily, but not solely, in the home of a child or adolescent. These children/adolescents are at risk of being moved into an out-of-home placement or being transitioned to home from an out-of-home placement due to a documented medical need.
