Day Treatment Program

 

Y-CAPP’s Day Treatment (DTX) Program provides psychotherapeutic interventions combined with educational support and mental health treatment.   The DTX Program operates within the public schools and operates Monday through Friday in accordance with the school’s schedule.  The program serves both males and females between the ages of 5 and 18 years. The services offered include:

 

·        Comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment

·        Daily individualized behavioral modification / classroom management

·        Daily Psycho-Educational / Social Skills training groups

·        Crisis intervention

·        Weekly individual therapy

·        Case Management

·        Daily educational support

·        Therapeutic recreation and socialization activities as scheduled

·        Family Therapy

 

 

Y-CAPP prides itself on exceptional personnel within their DTX program.  Each school site functions independently and has a team consisting of a Site Supervisor, Clinician and Case Managers.  The staff to participant ratio does not exceed 1:5 in efforts to provide optimum services.  The DTX program employs a multifaceted approach to achieve its goals of :  1)  Decreasing the occurrences of both in and out of school suspensions  2) Improving attendance   3) Improving academic performance.
